Natyapriya, A Norwich based Indian Dance Company, was started in 1996 by Anne Tiburtius, a classically trained Indian dancer looking for an opportunity to make a mark on the Norwich dance scene. Natyapriya has 14 members, who specialise in different aspects of performance, Dance and Drama. We are a dynamic and talented group of women, who share a passion for dance. Our name 'Natyapriya' sums up beautifully how we feel about our art. The word 'natya' in Sanskrit means dance and the word 'priya' means love, so you could say that we were lovers of dance.
